I am a diehard skincare lover but realized how dull, dry, bad the skin on the rest of my body is. I have definitely been neglecting the rest of my skin! I self tan about once a week and have very dry skin, so I feel like my body is patchy and flaky most of the time. Tired of looking like this. - Favourite body exfoliator?I’m a little bit at a loss with what to use for exfoliating my body. I have dry and somewhat sensitive skin. I notice sometimes when I towel myself off that I have dry skin rolling off as I rub. It’s awful. I also like to tan in the summer and I know it’s important to keep things even. I’ve tried using the plastic loofahs and they’re ok (and I’d like to reduce my plastic waste). Bristle brushes don’t seem to be very effective. Wash clothes are ok but I find I have to use a lot of soap to keep the cloth from being too abrasive and hurting my skin. I’ve tried a kojac sponge and it just isn’t strong enough. Salt and sugar scrubs are alright, they leave my skin pretty soft but I think it’s actually just the oil in it. - Why do people focus so much on face skincare but ignore body care completely?Dry body skin honestly makes me feel just as uncomfortable as dry facial skin. submitted by /u/hopeful_bird223 [link] [comments]
- Do you use an exfoliating mitt, sponge, loofa, etc? Which one should I get and why?I am reading that just the scrub itself applied to one's hands isn't enough and honestly... I think it's true cause it doesn't feel like anything happens when I use it. I dry brush twice a week before the shower but I'd like something more because dry brushing is great but definitely doesn't give you that glowy smooth skin a good scrub does (which I cans see on my skin if i get something professional like a pedicure). So what are you all using and loving? submitted by /u/Ravioli_meatball19 [link] [comments]
- Help me achieve soft skin!! Please read the complete passage.I'm a dry skin girlie. My skin gets dry and rough as soon as I step out of the shower. Ofc i apply lotion everyday and lotion keeps my skin moisturized for the better part of the day but by then end like at night when i change into pjs I see little white flakes. Now, i exfoliate regularly too. So i need a "hack" or grandma's secret or something like that. Don't recommend me products (i might not able to buy them or they might not be available where i live) don't give me any dermatological advice because I've watched dermats videos on youtube. I need something unknown, like ancient skincare, something that can actually help and cure my dry skin problems! submitted by /u/cherry-berry222 [link] [comments]
