Chemical vs physical sunscreen

Our take

Navigating the world of sunscreen can feel like a high-stakes game, especially when considering the benefits and drawbacks of chemical versus physical formulas. As you explore your options for treating upper lip melasma, it's essential to weigh the lightweight feel of chemical sunscreens against concerns about potential skin absorption. On the flip side, physical sunscreens, often containing nano-sized minerals, raise questions about their safety too.

Lately I have been reading about the perks of both options since I changed my derm due to my upper lip melasma and I have been going back and forth which sunscreen formula to pick.

I really love chemical sunscreens because they don’t make me sweet or make me feel like wearing a heavy mask, but I have noticed medical articles about the dangers.

Physical sunscreens (derm told me) use nano physical oxides so it’s either way risky if it’s indeed the case going into the blood stream.

Anyways, is there any conclusion about this debate?
I’m thinking to buy the caudalie yellow sunscreen with the vinoperfect serum to ease my melasma.

Edit: wrong tag sorry
