DIY Keratin Treatment

Our take

Are you tired of splurging on salon treatments that don’t deliver? After spending hundreds on what turned out to be a fake keratin treatment, I’m on a mission to take matters into my own hands. I’m hoping my hair recovers without long-term damage, but when the time comes for another treatment, I want to DIY it. I need to ensure I’m using a genuine keratin product and following the manufacturer’s instructions.

I just paid several hundreds of dollars at a (seemingly) reputable salon for what turned out to be a fake keratin treatment.

I am hoping there won’t be long term damage.

After my hair is recovered if I repeat a keratin treatment in the future I want to do it myself. I want to be able to know the product I’m applying is an actual keratin treatment and know the instructions I’m following are the actual manufacturer instructions.

If you have done a keratin treatment on yourself what brand did you buy and where did you buy it from?
