How do I properly apply skincare to my neck
Our take
Navigating skincare for sensitive skin can feel like a high-stakes runway show, especially when it comes to your neck. As you rightly pointed out, applying sunscreen is crucial to maintain youthful skin and prevent that dreaded “granny” look. However, breaking out after sunscreen application isn’t uncommon, particularly if it isn’t properly removed. The key is to find a gentle yet effective cleansing routine that suits your skin type.
I have really sensitive skin and have to properly remove sunscreen with a cleansing oil or micellar water at the end of the day, or else I’d break out. I get that you have to apply sunscreen to your neck to get the full effects of it in order to not look like a granny with a 20 y/o face by the time I’m 60, but even my neck breaks out when I apply sunscreen without removing it properly. Is this normal? If not, how do I apply sunscreen to my neck then?
