Sunblock recommendations for sensitive skin

Our take

Hey, sun worshippers! Let’s dive into the quest for the holy grail of sunblock for sensitive skin—especially for those of us battling unexpected breakouts. Yes, we know we should wear sunscreen year-round, but finding one that won't wreak havoc on our skin can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. At 26, navigating this second puberty has been chaotic, and I’m on the hunt for recommendations that are effective, cruelty-free, and won’t turn my cheeks into a breakout battleground.

Before anyone comments yes yes we should wear sunscreen all year round I know I know.

However, I’m in need of a sunblock that WONT break me out. I am 26F going through the dreaded second puberty and while acne was not a major thing in middle and high school it is now.

Here are some brands I have tried that have broken me out

—beauty of joseon

—coola organic classic face

—maybe sunbum

—elf hydro line

I try to use products that are cruelty free but I guess I could use one that isn’t if it is going to show the best results.

The breakouts are mostly on my cheeks and that’s really the main spot that I get it for the past year. I have it under control for the most part but whenever I introduce a new product if my skin doesn’t like it, it shows out.

Here are some current products that have worked for me so far

—cerave (one of the non cruelty free items I’m using)

—dermologica clear start

—tony moly milky toner

Let me know what yall recommend
