Wet hair / Oiling Hair
Our take
Hey there, hair enthusiasts! It’s time to dive into the world of hair care rituals. Many of us love the sleek finish that comes from applying oils to damp hair, but is it worth the potential risk of bacteria buildup, especially while we sleep? Our friend, u/Nervous_Wall_7269, is curious about this very dilemma. With a routine that includes natural wonders like coconut oil, tea tree oil, and castor oil, they’re wondering if the benefits outweigh the concerns.
Hello!
So I usually like to have my hair wet or damp before putting my oils in it, (I try to do this once a week to keep it sleek and growing) but I’ve been reading how wet hair can cause a bunch of bacteria and gross stuff basically, especially when sleeping with it. Wondering if I should stop wetting it before putting my oils in it???? Or if anyone has had any issues with sleeping with wet hair. I also keep it in a bonnet when doing this but that worries me even more since all the moisture is “enclosed”
I use all natural oils, coconut oil, tea tree oil, and castor oil I switch them ever so often on what mood I’m in or what I think my hair needs lol.
