why isn’t my self tanner working?
Our take
Self‑tanner loves smooth, evenly hydrated skin, but it can ghost on areas that retain moisture or friction. First, rank the culprits: (1) residual oil or sweat on the torso and legs, (2) thicker callus‑prone skin that absorbs less DHA, and (3) tight clothing that rubs the product off before it sets. Make sure those zones are completely dry, use a lightweight, oil‑free moisturizer, and apply a thin, even layer with a mitt.
so i self tanned hourssss ago and it worked on my hands, (kinda) my arms, face but my stomach, back and legs are still pale!
i shaved and exfoliated the other day, i showered and moisturized before self tanning and let my skin breathe and dry a bit before tanning
not sure why it didn’t stick to my legs, stomach, or back
help? advice?
