Idk how to style my hair
Our take
Hey everyone! I’m reaching out for some hair styling advice. After washing my thick hair, I’ve experimented with leave-in conditioners, serums, and masks, but frizz is still my enemy. I tried a blow-dry brush, but it left me with split ends, even with heat protectant. I’m considering a haircut to keep my length while adding some style, but my last stylist warned against layers due to my hair's heaviness. I'm feeling a bit lost, so any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

| Hi everyone, This is what my haircare looks like after hairwash. I have tried using leave in conditioners, serums, hair masks etc but my hair is too thick and it frizzes up easily. I tried using the blow dry brush from mane but i ended up gettig crazy split ends from using it. And yes I did use heat protectant. I want to get a haircut but I dont know what style of haircut would suit my hair. I want to keep my length but maybe make it more stylish? Last time i got layers but the stylist said it wont look that good since I have thick heavy hair. I am so confused. Please any advice would be appreciated! Thank you in advice. [link] [comments] |

- Styling for dense, straight hairI’m blursed with extremely dense hair. Every single hairdresser has commented on it saying I’m so lucky… but I absolutely despise it. My hair just does not hold styles. Every time I get layers, they just wanna stay stick-straight. I have no volume, no texture, just a sheet of not-even-particularly-shiny straight hair. I asked for a wolf cut, and I ended up with… bangs. And that’s it. I’ve tried volumizing mousse with heat styling, heatless styling, hairspray, etc. I’ve heard sea salt spray could work, but I thought it was for curly hair? Anyway, I’ll take literally any suggestions: hair cuts, products, treatments, whatever. Please. lol. submitted by /u/bunnybabeez [link] [comments]
- What cut should I get?Hey everyone! 👋 I’m finally looking to switch up my hair. I’ve always stuck to a basic straight, blunt cut (as you can see in the pic), but because my hair is fine and thin, the length weighs it down and makes it fall flat. I really want to try something different that will give me some much-needed volume and movement. A few details: Face shape: Soft oval with a slight roundness to it. Current routine: I currently don't style my hair at all (total wash-and-go), but I want to start using a blowout brush after this haircut to help give it that bouncy look. Goal: Volume and texture What hairstyles or specific cuts would you recommend for my hair type and face shape? Would something like long layers, a butterfly cut, or curtain bangs work well to frame a softer, rounder oval face? Any photo references or tips for a blowout brush beginner would be amazing. - does anyone have recommendations on products for my straight but dry hair?My hair is very long but my ends aren't that healthy and it thinned out over time due to stress and all. I usually oil it once a week because I only wash it once a week (I've noticed it keeps my hair nicer) and I want to start using a product to make it nice and straight. It is naturally straight but because it's so dry, my hair keeps having random split ends that stick out (idk how to explain it, almost like frizz) it's not very silky. I want healthy hair without chopping it, any recs?? Also, when I go to get my haircut they blowdry it and its so nice and silky and bouncy, I've asked what products they use and she's never too clear about it so I can't tell. Whenever I do blowouts myself it turns out the same looks wise, but it def isn't silky and smooth like they do at the salon. - If needed, I could attach photos of what my hair looks like versus how I want it to look like submitted by /u/Unlucky_Page_4850 [link] [comments]
- Hair HelpHi everyone. My hair is down to the middle of my back now and kind of thick. I absolutely hate it. If I could shave it off, I would. Then I wouldn't have to worry about it. Since I can't do that...I need some help. I wear it up every day because I don't have time to style it in the morning. Washing it, blow drying it, and straightening it (get rid of the volume) would take almost an hour. I also don't want to style it and then go to bed because when I wake up, it wouldn't be the same. I would have to style it again. I also thought cutting it shorter (right above my shoulders) to see if that would help. Cutting it any shorter wouldn't really work for my hair type and thickness. Any tips or suggestions for this? How long is your hair and what do you do to style it? I hate my hair and need some ideas. Thanks! submitted by /u/musicmeg0222 [link] [comments]
