my skin is so dry sos
Our take

| hi i know like absolutely nothing about skincare and i need help 😫 I do have naturally drier skin but it has never really looked/felt like this. I got my makeup done last saturday and used my friend’s cleanser (curology i think) to remove it, since then this is how my skin has been. I’ve used my own gentle cleanser, serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen throughout the week and literally nothing has helped (it really has only made my skin burn and more red). It just like drinks it all up and returns to its desert state. All my products have never irritated my skin so much so i am at a loss right now. another odd thing is it’s only like the cheek bones down—my forehead is perfectly fine. please advise 🙏 Thanks divas! - skin care help!!hiya divas! i'm a 23 year old who is struggling to find the right skin-care routine. i have dry skin and fairly large pores. i'm prone to acne breakouts as well, though it isn't bad enough for me to use acne products just a couple here and there. i'm currently using Cerave face wash and moisturizer, along with The Ordinary niacinamide serum, plus a hydrating toner and using a glycolic acid toner twice a week. my skin is better, but the pores and a few wrinkles around my eyes are bothering me really badly. any suggestions for a glass skin look? bonus for anyone who can give me a good hydrating primer that's cheap, my makeup is always cakey i swear submitted by /u/CurrentAggressive466 [link] [comments]
- Completely lost with skincare and don’t know where to startHi everyone, I’m completely lost with skincare and I don’t really know where to start. Right now I use a serum from The Ordinary (niacinamide + zinc) and a CeraVe moisturizer, but honestly I feel like they’re not doing much for me. I have a lot of little red marks spots on my face, and I also think I might have something similar to rosacea because my skin gets red and sensitive (specially after a hot shower or temperature changes) but I’ve never had it checked so I don’t want to self-diagnose. My skin also feels really dry and flaky. The weird thing is that the more I moisturize, the more it feels like my skin depends on it. If I forget moisturizer for even one day, my face starts peeling a lot. I don’t know if my skin barrier is damaged, if I’m using the wrong products, or if I’m just missing something obvious. I really love the Korean glass skin look, but I have no idea how people actually get there, especially with dry/sensitive skin. I don’t want to buy a million random products, so I’d love help building a very simple beginner routine and knowing what ingredients or products I should look for or avoid. Thanks so much in advance. I’m genuinely starting from zero here, so any simple advice would be really helpful. submitted by /u/Valuable_Air_1747 [link] [comments]
- moisturizer dependance / skin drynessHi, I have normal, healthy skin and my routine is very simple because most skincare irritates me. I recently started using Albolene, which has similar ingredients to Vaseline. Initially this product hydrates very well, but after using it, the next day my skin is very tight / dry, and there is crinkly skin around my eyes, which I’ve never had before. There’s some noticeable downward fine lines at the outward corner of my eyes, and when I smile my under eye skin crinkles a lot, almost like wrinkles (not true wrinkles bc i’m in my 20s, i know they are caused by dehydration) After this happened, I went 4-5 days without any moisturizer or makeup, and my skin got much better. yesterday my skin was feeling a little dry so i tried using a simple moisturizer last night (cicalfate) and the dryness and lines have returned. i think i caused my skin to be super dependent on the moisturizer hydration, thus leading to very dry skin after some time. has anyone experienced this? 😭 i typically avoid moisturizers because they all cause my skin to get irritated (except cicalfate). submitted by /u/starlightkissed [link] [comments]
