Scalp gets oily really fast
Our take
Struggling with oily scalp issues can be frustrating, especially when you've tried various solutions without success. At just 18, you've been dealing with this for years, washing your medium-length, thin hair daily, yet it becomes greasy within hours. Your current routine includes double shampooing and only conditioning the mid-lengths and ends, but it seems ineffective. You've also experimented with dry shampoo and arrowroot powder. Living in Eastern Europe limits your access to American products, making it challenging to find relief.
Been having this problem for years. 18 female, nothing helps. i wash my hair at noon ( i wash it everyday. training my hair and washing less didnt help), and the next day at like 4pm it starts to get oily. i have thin medium length hair. 24 hours after washing its already bad. i only conditioner my mids and ends, i double shampoo. can only sleep with my hair down because in any braid my hair breaks since i move a lot when sleeping. when i do use dey shampoo i use arrowroot powder. help !! could scap scrubs or maybe clarifying shampoos help? i live in eastern europe so american products arent really accesible, keep that in mind.

- Shampoo for everyday useI want to workout daily but what’s currently stopping me is that I dont want to wash my hair every day. I’m East Asian, and have pretty thick oily hair, and I NEED to wash it with shampoo every time I shower. I have tried training it, rinsing with just water, not getting my hair wet, but it just doesn’t work for me. I currently shampoo every other day, but if it gets even remotely sweaty from working out or from the humidity in the shower, it starts getting itchy and oily within the next few hours. Does anyone have a shampoo recommendation that isn’t super stripping and can be used everyday? submitted by /u/rosesandlilies29 [link] [comments]
- Hair healthAll my life I’ve washed my hair every single day. Years ago I found out you’re not suppose to and thought I was at a loss to help my hair. I did find out it’s not too late and started to train my hair so it doesn’t get oily so fast . I don’t wash it every day and will always put dry shampoo in my roots after every shower and it’s been helping a lot! Do you guys have any advice on good hair masks or products to put in it? My hair is straight as in 1b or 1c type hair. I also don’t want to break the bank but please if you think it’s worth getting lmk either way! submitted by /u/Angel_er [link] [comments]
- I wash my hair twice a day because of oily scalp—am I ruining it?I usually wash my hair in the morning because I wake up with an oily scalp. Since I started working out at night, I’ve been washing it twice a day, but I’m not sure that’s healthy—I just don’t want to go to work with oily hair. submitted by /u/Boring_Astronomer_57 [link] [comments]
