Waxing? Hair too fine to pick up

Our take

Are you wrestling with ultra-fine vellus hair that just won't cooperate during waxing? You’re not alone! Many find that traditional waxing leaves behind frustrating stubble, especially on areas like arms and calves where the hair is almost translucent. While your technique with pre-waxed strips is on point, you might want to explore alternatives like sugaring or hard wax. These methods could potentially offer smoother results without the pesky breakage.

I have extremely fine vellus hair on my arms. It’s not even blonde it’s like white or translucent tbh. It is so fine and I find that waxing removes the hair but only by breaking the hairs and I’m left with tiny fine hair stubble. My leg hair is very fine everywhere except the inner front of my calves where it is still very fine but less so. I hate shaving and want to wax, I wax my pits and kini line and it’s perfect but these two spots I struggle with. I’ve been waxing myself for years and have a good technique down. I pull parallel not up. I use the flamingo brand pre waxed strips. Would sugaring or hard wax work better?
